Jonathan Knight Biography
Jonathan was born in Massachusetts in 1968, the son of Marlene and Allan Knight. He grew up in the Dorchester area of Boston with his 5 brothers and sisters and numerous foster children his mother took in. He shot to fame in the late 80's with the group New Kids On The Block. From 1986 to 1994, Jonathan was a member of the American boy band New Kids on the Block.
Before their split in 1994, the band had sold over 80 million records worldwide where Knight left during the tour of their 1994 album Face the Music. In 2008, Jonathan returned to show business, reuniting with the other four members of the crew. On September 2, 2008, they released their 7th album, The Block, and made a live performance together on May 16 the same year.
This was significant in showing their reunion after 14 years of the split. He may be best known as a member of the Grammy®-nominated band New Kids on the Block, but in the HGTV series Farmhouse Fixer, e shares his renovation know-how by meticulously restoring centuries-old New England farmhouses. Knight, a seasoned designer who has renovated over 200 houses over the past 27 years.
