Patricio Guzmán Campos Biography
Patricio Guzmán Campos was a Chilean photographer, documentary filmmaker and cinematographer with a long international career. He portrayed the reality of Chile from 1958 to 1973. He is considered to be one of the greatest figures of Chilean social photography. In 1974, after the coup, he went into exile in Hungary. In 1980 he emigrated to Canada, the country where he eventually passed away in 2014.
Part of his career was linked to the Chilean singer-songwriter Víctor Jara, whom he photographed on various occasions.
