10 On-Screen Duos You Can't Get Enough Of
By Sharon Knolle "Money Monster" reunites A-listers George Clooney and Julia Roberts for the first time since "Ocean's 12." They're just one of several onscreen duos we can't get enough of, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, or Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Here are few more of your favorites.
Julia Roberts and George Clooney
These two A-listers made a glamorous couple in "Ocean's 11" and "Ocean's 12," and then George cast Julia as a mystery woman in his directorial debut, "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind." Now they're costarring in the hostage thriller "Money Monster," in which it's unlikely Julia's character will save the day by pretending to be Julia Roberts.
Matt Damon and George Clooney
Besides the three "Ocean's" films, they costarred in "Syriana," and George tapped Matt for "The Monuments Men," and as "Bachelor #2" in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind." (Bachelor No. 1? None other than Brad Pitt.)
Richard Gere and Julia Roberts
They're so good together, it feels like they've costarred in more than just two movies. Maybe it's because you've watched "Pretty Woman" more times than you can count.
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio
The "Titanic" costars reunited for 2008's "Revolutionary Road." And this past year was one extended reunion as they were nominated at all the same award shows. And of course she got choked up when he FINALLY won his Oscar (as he did when she won hers).
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan
They don't even meet until the end of "Sleepless in Seattle," and spend most of their time in "You've Got Mail" staring at their individual computer screens, and yet they're still one of the most memorable film duos of all time.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
They steamed up the screen in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," then became one of the most talked-about real-life couples in the world. They finally re-teamed as a troubled married couple in Jolie's 2015 film "By the Sea."
James Franco and Seth Rogen
These two have been collaborating ever since the days of "Freaks and Geeks," giving us hilarious films like "This Is the End," "The Interview," and 2016's "Sausage Party."
Nick Frost and Simon Pegg
Nothing can keep these two apart, not zombies in "Shaun of the Dead," small-town conspiracies in "Hot Fuzz," or aliens in "The World's End." Not to mention their shared love of all things "Star Wars."
Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans
Yes, they've costarred in several Marvel movies -- most notably in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." But the two Avengers have also shared the screen in 2004's "The Perfect Score" and 2007's "The Nanny Diaries." So why isn't Black Widow on Team Cap?!
The Rock and Kevin Hart
In what seems to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, the pint-sized comedian and the mammoth action star teamed up for "Central Intelligence" (out June 17), hosted the MTV Movie Awards and are set to share the screen again in the "Jumanji" remake.
