After a deadly school shooting today in Santa Fe, Texas, Netflix has decided to cancel the Los Angeles premiere for Season 2 of "13 Reasons Why."

"Our hearts are with the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting, and with all victims of gun violence. In light of today's tragedy, we are canceling the '13 Reasons Why' S2 premiere event tonight," Netflix said in a statement.

The stars of the show -- including Katherine Langford, Dylan Minnette, Kate Walsh, Alisha Boe, and Christian Navarro -- were expected to attend, as well as executive producer Selena Gomez, according to Variety.

On Twitter, Minnette (who plays Clay) had already warned that Season 2 is "unflinching, dark and even hard to watch at times." Today, he shared his condolences with Santa Fe.

Boe (Jessica Davis) shares her own thoughts and retweeted Parkland survivor and activist Emma Gonzalez.

The second season of "13 Reasons Why," which includes a thwarted school shooting, is still available to stream, however. A promotional photo from Episode 3 shows Caleb (played by RJ Brown) and Tony Padilla (Navarro) embracing tearfully next to a shot-up car.

Season 1 laid a few hints a shooting might be coming: Alex (Miles Heizer) shot himself and was rushed to the hospital and we learned that bullied teen Tyler (Devin Druid) had an arsenal of weapons.

Several other TV shows have pulled eps that involved school shootings after real-life incidents, including "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (delayed after the Columbine shooting in 1999) and the "Heathers" reboot, which was pulled after the Parkland shooting in February.
