The real-life tiffs between actors can be difficult for fans to digest. As much as you worship the stars of your favorite shows, you also want to believe that some of the relationships playing out on screen are equally poignant and close behind the scenes. These six sets of feuding television cast-mates prove that the stars really are like regular people: Sometimes, they just can't get along.

1. 'The Good Wife' (2009 - )

2. 'Charmed' (1998 - 2006)

Charmed," but they didn't feel much of a familial bond off-set. 3. 'Castle' (2009 - )

Recent events lend credibility to rumors that the heavily shipped core couple of the romantic procedural "Castle" are far from in love in real life. Stana Katic, who plays Captain Kate Beckett, was not invited to renew her contract if the show returns for Season 9. An unnamed source told US Weekly that the state of her TV union with co-star Nathan Fillion was so bad that producers actually sent the pair to couples counseling.

4. 'Desperate Housewives' (2004 - 2012)

The stars of "Desperate Housewives" were probably desperate for some time away from each other. The leading ladies of the prime-time soap had roller-coaster friendships on the show. The drama went on off-camera too, as Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, and Marcia Cross were frequently at odds with co-lead Teri Hatcher. The truth was printed literally in black and white when the other three ladies left Hatcher's name off of a farewell gift to the show's crew.

5. 'The X-Files' (1993 - )

The duo from "The X-Files" have patched things up in the years since the sci-fi phenomenon's original run, but Jimmy Kimmel Live" during the press tour for the show's revival, joking to the host that the core of the problem was that Anderson's hair issues would require long breaks between takes. Now, the gossip about the two has pretty much done a 180 -- many fans are certain that the co-stars are actually dating.

6. 'Grey's Anatomy' (2005 - )

A tussle between Grey's Anatomy" -- dominated entertainment news after Washington's use of a homophobic slur during the fight became public knowledge. The word was said in reference to cast-mate T.R. Knight, whose lateness to set was the subject of Dempsey and Washington's argument. Washington issued an apology in People, but was later fired from the series.
