Congrats, "Wicked City," you get the Fall 2015 booby prize!

If you blinked, you missed "Wicked City," which ABC canceled after just three episodes. The sex-and-violence-heavy crime procedural -- starring Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Jeremy Sisto, Gabriel Luna, and Taissa Farmiga -- followed LAPD detectives searching for a pair of serial killers on the Sunset Strip in the early '80s.

The pilot, which aired October 27, had a slow start with 3.28 million viewers and a 0.9/3 rating/share in the coveted 18-49 demographic. The next two episodes dropped in both overall viewers and in the ratings, with a 43 percent Week 3 dive to a 0.4 rating. That's really low. According to Deadline, production on the show will stop after they finish the now-filming Episode 8. (It was originally scheduled to be a 10-episode season.) Starting next Tuesday, November 17, the 10 p.m. timeslot will be filled with "Shark Tank" reruns.

This marks the first official cancellation for a new show in the 2015-2016 TV season. Instead of outright canceling, most networks have just been cutting series orders for under-performing shows like "Blood & Oil" and "Minority Report," but keeping them on air until they play out their runs.
