Adam Sandler Goes Outlaw in 'Ridiculous 6' Trailer
Adam Sandler is hoping to find a little more luck on Netflix than he has lately at the box office.
The actor signed a four-movie deal with the streaming service, and the first, "Ridiculous 6," now has a trailer. Sandler stars as Tommy "White Knife" Stockburn, an outlaw who terrorizes the West with a gang made up of his improbable brothers (including Taylor Lautner, Terry Crews, and Rob Schneider). They have to set aside their usual bank-robbing and pillaging to rescue their father (Nick Nolte).
"Ridiculous 6" is meant to be a comedic parody of "The Magnificent Seven. The movie generated some controversy when Native American actors walked off the set, complaining about mistreatment and racially insensitive dialogue. The trailer, at least, wisely leaves out any jokes of that nature. In fact, there are not many jokes at all, other than Schneider bumbling around and the idea that one man could father such different-looking sons.
"Ridiculous 6" will be available to stream on Netflix on Dec. 11.
