Amazing 'Alien' High School Production Gets Official Stamp of Approval
A New Jersey high school’s elaborate adaptation of the classic 1979 sci-fi movie "Alien" is getting noticed by Hollywood.
Students at North Bergen High School performed “Aliens The Play” this month, and the detailed sets and costumes received much acclaim from local media.
And their production got the stamp of approval from the official "Alien" movie Twitter account.
An art teacher designed the set and the crew began building the set last September. The play premiered March 19.
The original "Alien" movie was directed by Ridley Scott and starred Sigourney Weaver,Tom Skerritt, and John Hurt. It won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and kicked off a franchise of films, comic books, video games, and toys.
