Amazon's 'Catastrophe' Renewed for Seasons 3 and 4
That one-night stand will keep going for a couple more years!
"Catastrophe," the British romantic comedy starring Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney, has been renewed for seasons 3 and 4 by the U.K.'s Channel 4. The Peabody-nominated show streams on Amazon Prime in the U.S.
"We are thrilled to be making a third [season]," the actors/creators said in a statement. "Rob and Sharon are a blast to spend time with, and we're not talking about ourselves in the third person, we're talking about the characters. We're eager to breathe life back into Rob and Sharon. Okay, now we are talking about us."
"Catastrophe" began with Sharon accidentally getting pregnant after a tryst with visiting American advertising exec Rob. They ended up getting married, and season 2 began with Sharon pregnant with their second child.
Horgan and Delaney did not announced a premiere date for season 3, but judging by previous broadcast history, it seems likely that it'll debut on Channel 4 this winter and stream on Amazon in spring 2017.
