"American Crime Story" creator Ryan Murphy is thinking ahead -- way ahead.

Seasons 2 and 3 of the true crime anthology series are already in the works, and now yet another is reported to be as well. Murphy is developing an installment that would dramatize former President Bill Clinton's '90s affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The scandal rocked the nation and culminated in Clinton being impeached by the House of Representatives before the Senate acquitted him.

Sources tell THR that producers are already working on casting actresses to play Lewinsky and her colleague Linda Tripp. On top of that, Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions have reportedly optioned the rights to a best-selling book on the subject, Jeffrey Toobin's "A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President." It's fitting considering that the author's 1997 book "The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson" inspired "American Crime Story" Season 1. Toobin served as a consultant on the first installment.

Assuming all moves forward as planned, we still have at least two seasons of "American Crime Story" to get through before the series brings us the Clinton sex scandal. Season 2, which is expected to premiere in 2018, will center on Hurricane Katrina, and then Season 3 will take on the assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace about six months later. We've got a lot of good TV -- and scandal -- in our future.
