It's almost tiiiiiiime! Are you excited? Are you ready? We're not ready ... for this to disappoint.

"American Horror Story: Apocalypse" is the long awaited crossover season for "Murder House" and "Coven." It premieres tomorrow (9/12) on FX.

We're not going to be able to cope if it's bad. Campy bad is OK. So bad it's good is OK. But meh? Blah? Mediocre? Not OK. Jessica Lange is returning for this, so it has to be [chef's kiss] bellisima.

FX just shared some official Season 8 photos showing off a few new characters -- mostly played by familiar faces.

We see Evan Peters as Mr. Gallant in the top photo. Below are Sarah Paulson as Ms. Wilhemina Venable; Cody Fern as Michael Langdon, aka the grown-up Antichrist baby of "Murder House" Season 1; Kyle Allen as Timothy Campbell; Ashley Santos as Emily; Adina Porter as Dinah Stevens; Billie Lourd as Mallory; Leslie Grossman as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt; and Kathy Bates as Ms. Miriam Mead:

We'll get to know these characters further when the show premieres. One of them had better be ready to snuff out some of those candles before they start a house fire. Or maybe that's how the apocalypse of the title starts.

Several stars are playing double duty, or triple duty in Sarah Paulson's case. That's part of what makes this season so exciting -- it's an all-stars season for both AHS regulars and their characters in a shared universe.
