Bachelorette Becca Kufrin Threw Hilarious Yet Subtle Shade at Arie Luyendyk Jr. on 'Ellen'
After being summarily "Bachelorette" star Becca Kufrin has every right to be upset, but she has handled the breakup with class. Still, she can't help but throw a little bit of shade at ex Arie Luyendyk Jr. on occasion.
Kufrin appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday, and she continued to be a gracious winner-turned-loser. Even when host Ellen DeGeneres had her walk viewers through Luyendyk's cringe-worthy behavior, Kufrin refrained from trashing him.
"He just found a better fit with Lauren," she said.
DeGeneres was less forgiving. She criticized Luyendyk's actions during the "Bachelor" breakup, reminiscing about he how "just stared at [Kufrin] like he had never seen crying before." It was like he was "fascinated by [her] pain," the talk show host added.
Our new Bachelorette still managed not to engage, though -- that is, until DeGeneres wondered about whether Luyendyk will ever try to get Kufrin back. At that point, his ex-fiancée slipped, making a face that showed just how bad of an idea she thought that would be. The expression was priceless and said everything she has been kind enough not to.
There was another perfect moment of subtle shade, too. When DeGeneres asked what kind of man she's looking for in the upcoming season of "The Bachelorette," Kufrin pointedly noted that she wants someone who is "honest and loyal."
