"Bachelor" fans are still reeling after Monday night's explosive episode, in which titular suitor Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to -- and then later dumped -- contestant Becca Kufrin, all while cameras rolled. It was the second event that caused a social media uproar, and now, Kufrin herself is finally addressing her shocking breakup, and the humiliating manner in which it was made public.

In an interview with People, Kufrin chatted about her relationship with Luyendyk, and how shortly after he proposed, there were "red flags." According to the contestant, Luyendyk had continued "liking" runner-up Lauren Burnham's posts on social media, and admitted to Kufrin that he felt conflicted about breaking things off with Burnham.

But Kufrin said that Luyendyk insisted that he was still committed to their relationship, making the events that unfolded on Monday night's episode all the more shocking.

"It was embarrassing the way he broke up with me with the full cameras and crew around," Kufrin told People, echoing many of the same complaints issued by fans (and even former "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" contestants) on social media. She continued:

"There was a better and more tactful way to do it," she says of getting dumped on national television. "A breakup is hard enough, and to have it all filmed and have to re-watch it and know that people all across the country are watching you get your heart broken, it is embarrassing. It's not fun. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It was like a slap in the face."

While Kufrin told People that she "can't fault" Luyendyk "for falling in love with Lauren and following his heart because I would never want anyone to stay in a relationship where they felt trapped and it wasn't right," she says that she wishes he had made different decisions in the lead-up to Monday night's shocker.

"I wish he hadn't proposed," Kufrin told People. ... [H]e lied or hid his true feelings and emotions for weeks and weeks and weeks. The number one thing that I value in a relationship is honesty and loyalty, and I feel like I wasn't given that."
