'Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Finale: Here's How Kathy Bates, Teller Will Be Involved
The Fowler-Cooper wedding is going to be quite the party.
"The Big Bang Theory" has invited several big names to celebrate the nuptials of Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) in the Season 11 finale. As the episode gets closer, more details are coming out about how those guest stars will be involved. Oscar winner Kathy Bates and the magician Teller are among those slated to appear in the episode, and their ties to the bride and groom were recently uncovered.
The two will play Amy's parents, Variety reports. That means that Bates will take over for Annie O'Donnell, who briefly portrayed the neuroscientist's mother in Season 4. O'Donnell appeared in the episode "The Desperation Emanation."
When Mrs. Fowler was introduced in Season 4, Amy and Sheldon were in the very early stages of their relationship. Amy shocked Sheldon by asking him to meet her mom, and he didn't take the idea well at all. It was only when Amy assured him it was just to get her mom off her back that he agreed. He ultimately met Mrs. Fowler via video-chat, and it was an awkward meeting, to say the least.
It'll be fun to see Sheldon and both Fowler parents come face to face in the upcoming season finale. "The Big Bang Theory" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
