'Black Mirror' Season 4 Finally Reveals Release Date, and Mega-Trailer
FINALLY. Happy New Year to "Black Mirror" fans.
Netflix spent a long time teasing out the release date for "Black Mirror" Season 4, doing this whole dance with poster and trailer releases for each of the individual six episodes.
After finishing that pattern, Netflix did what fans hoped -- it released the premiere date:
Friday, December 29.
Yes, "Black Mirror" will show up in 2017, as advertised, just on the very last Friday of the year.
In addition to the release date, Netflix combined footage from all six episodes into one official 2-minute trailer:
Over the summer, "Black Mirror" executive producers Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones were on Variety's "Remote Controlled" podcast, sharing tidbits about Season 4. Here's a vague tease from Jones:
"I think you can say there's a range of genres within the season, and more ambitious, could I say? Slightly more ambitious in scope. We've ventured into genres we haven't been into before. So quite a few surprises, I'd say."
Here are the episode titles and cast lists for each Season 4 episode. See the individual trailers and posters here.
"Black Mirror" Season 4's six episodes will start streaming Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 on Netflix.
