'Boundaries' Trailer Sends Christopher Plummer on Weed-Dealing Road Trip
Call him Bad Grandpa. Fresh off his Oscar-nominated performance as oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, Christopher Plummer is hitting the road ... to deal weed.
In the trailer for "Boundaries," Plummer plays Jack, an irreverent rogue of a grandfather who gets kicked out of his nursing home for bad behavior. He forces his daughter (Vera Farmiga) to drive him cross country along with her teen son (Lewis McDougall). Along the way, Jack takes his family on detours to meet with old friends and deal a bunch of weed.
Plummer looks like he's having a grand old time in the trailer, able to cut loose after more dramatic fare. As Farmiga told Entertainment Weekly of the actor, "Don't let his prestige and his fancy-schmancy aura fool you. He's a clown, he's a jester, the sort of person you just laugh with most of the time. He's the goddamn life of the party still at 88."
"Boundaries" also stars Kristen Schaal, Bobby Cannavale, Peter Fonda, and Christopher Lloyd, and opens in theaters June 22.
