Bryan Cranston Is No Longer Signing Autographs -- For Good Reason
Let it be known: Bryan Cranston's days of signing autographs are over.
The "Breaking Bad" vet announced in a tweet Thursday that he will no longer be signing things for fans. We can't blame him -- as he pointed out, he has been doing it for 18 years and it's "overwhelming." He is still happy to engage with his fans, but he wants them to ask for selfies instead of signatures. Cranston explained it all in a very kind message, telling his fans (aka his "friends") that loves meeting them but "just can't do it anymore" when it comes to autographs.
Friends,
After 18 years of signing everything for fans - I'm retiring. Overwhelmed by requests and I just can't do it anymore.
I love meeting fans and will personalize pix in person, but that's all. Thanks for your understanding. See you on the street - we'll take a selfie! Bryan— Bryan Cranston (@BryanCranston) February 1, 2018
To be honest, we're a little surprised that fans are still asking for all these autographs rather than selfies in the first place. Having a photo to commemorate that special moment when you met Bryan Cranston sounds better than getting his named scrawled on a sheet of paper. And the fact that it's easier for him makes it all the better. Keep that in mind in case you're ever lucky enough to run into the actor in the street!
