When "The Big Bang Theory" was renewed last year for two more seasons, fans figured the upcoming Season 12 might mark The End.

But when CBS announced its Fall 2018-2019 schedule this morning, Senior EVP of Programming Thom Sherman heavily hinted to more from the show (via TV Guide):

"As long as [co-creator] Chuck [Lorre] and his team think they have stories tell, we're on board. We hope to get at least two more years out of them. ['The Big Bang Theory'] is not slowing down anytime soon."

Interesting. Back in January, star Johnny Galecki told E! News, "The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [the show] has been that we're all going to be very sad when that day comes. But I think at this point everyone's very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families."

They may be comfortable with 13 or 14 seasons, too. As long as CBS has the money to pay their stars ... why not? It's still an extremely popular comedy after 11 seasons, and with shows like "Grey's Anatomy," "Law & Order: SVU," and "The Simpsons" going on for a lot longer than 12 seasons, they might as well keep it going until 1) they run out of story to tell, or 2) fans run out of interest and stop watching.

TBBT Season 11 just wrapped last week. Season 12 will air Thursdays this fall.
