'City on a Hill' Trailer: Kevin Bacon Plays Corrupt FBI Vet Working With Assistant DA
The official trailer for Kevin Bacon's new series is here.
Showtime unveiled the "City on a Hill" preview on Thursday, Jan. 31. It showcases the upcoming series in which Bacon stars alongside Aldis Hodge. The two play an unlikely duo -- corrupt FBI veteran Jackie Rhodes (Bacon) and change-seeking Boston Assistant District Attorney Decourcy Ward (Hodge).
The series is set in the 1990s, a time when Boston had a high incidence of violence and its law enforcement was rife was racism and corruption. Against that backdrop, the trailer shows how different the two main characters are. While Rhodes laments not being able to get away with the things he used to, Ward wants to tear down the machinery of the city.
The series was written by Chuck McLean and is based on an idea from executive producer Ben Affleck. Matt Damon also executive produces, alongside Jennifer Todd and showrunner Tom Fontana.
"City on a Hill" premieres Sunday, June 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.
