Connie Britton is finally making her return to network drama, re-teaming with Ryan Murphy for Fox midseason series "911."

Nashville" earlier this year with the death of her character, Rayna Jaymes -- will round out the cast of the new procedural. The trade reports that "911," co-created by Murphy, "explores the high-pressure experiences of police, paramedics and firefighters who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives."

The Emmy nominee joins the previously-cast Angela Bassett (another Murphy collaborator from the "American Horror Story" universe) and Peter Krause ("Parenthood").Though details about the characters have not yet been released, Deadline is reporting that Britton is rumored to be playing a 911 operator.

Britton previously worked with Murphy on the first season of "American Horror Story," as well as the critically acclaimed "The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story." She'll next be seen on the small screen in the Showtime comedy series "SMILF."

No premiere date has been announced yet, but "911" is expected to debut sometime in the 2018 midseason, and run for 13 episodes.
