'Dancing With the Stars' Season 27 Reveals Pro Lineup, Including One Newbie
Are you ready to head back to the ballroom? "Dancing With the Stars" Season 27 premieres Monday, September 24 on ABC. This will be a "normal" season, unlike the super-brief athletes version of last spring.
ABC has gotten in the habit of revealing the professional dancer lineup first, since to many longtime fans the pros are the true "stars."
"Good Morning America" announced the 13 pros who will be dancing with 13 as-yet-unknown celebs for the Fall 2018 season:
• Val Chmerkovskiy and Season 26 pro champ Jenna Johnson (they recently got engaged)
• Cheryl Burke
• Witney Carson
• Lindsay Arnold
• Emma Slater and Sasha Farber (they recently got married)
• Sharna Burgess
• Keo Motsepe
• Alan Bersten
• Gleb Savchenko
• Artem Chigvintsev
• Brandon Armstrong
Brandon Armstrong is new to the competing lineup, getting his first promotion from the pro troupe:
Married pro couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are noticeably absent. According to @DWTSGossip, there was a contract issue of some kind. According to Entertainment Tonight, Peta recently told them she's hoping to get pregnant with their second child "maybe in the next six months."
"Dancing With the Stars" Season 27 starts Monday, Sept. 24, and the new "Juniors" version premieres Sunday, Oct. 7. on ABC.
Stay tuned for the Season 27 celeb cast reveal.
