David Harbour's Tide Ads & Penguin Dancing Trip Won Super Bowl Sunday
We don't think David Harbour's Antarctica trip is a Tide ad, but ... who can be sure?
Unlike the Patriots, the "Stranger Things" star won Super Bowl Sunday. Harbour was in every other Super Bowl commercial for Tide (and they were all hilarious), and he also expertly leveraged his social media fan base to get Greenpeace to take him on an Antarctica trip.
First, check out a supercut of his Tide ads:Well played, Hopper.
And now for the dancing penguins. Harbour loves his fans, and even took some senior class portraits with one fan who got enough retweets. So he did some quid pro quo and got his fans to retweet his request to dance with penguins:
Internet, listen...
I'm a giver. I give and I give.
But now I need you.
I need 200k retweets to go dance with penguins.
Please internet.
Please retweet THIS TWEET.
Please.

He clearly got more than 200,000 retweets. And it worked! Harbour updated on Sunday from his flight to South America to board an ice breaker ship with Greenpeace -- heading into Antarctic waters to meet penguins, whales, seals, and more:
Lucky guy! Fans are looking forward to seeing photos from his trip -- and obviously we need a Hopper Dad Dance with penguins.
"Stranger Things" Season 3 is meant to start shooting later this year for Netflix. Harbour's "Hellboy" movie opens January 11th, 2019.
