Veteran character actor Dick Miller, who appeared in more than 175 movies including "Gremlins" and "Terminator," has died at the age of 90.

Miller died Wednesday of natural causes, a month after his 90th birthday, with his wife, Lainie, and daughter and granddaughter at his side

"His sense of humor and the unique way he looked at the world won him many lifelong friends and worldwide fans," Miller's family said in a statement.

Miller began acting in the 1950s, and his first movie was 1955's "Apache Woman." He appeared in several Roger Corman films, including 1959’s "A Bucket of Blood" and 1960’s "The Little Shop of Horrors."

He also was a favorite of Corman protege Joe Dante and appeared in every single one of his projects, including 1981's "The Howling" and both "Gremlin" movies. Miller also acted in 1984's "The Terminator."

His six-decade career and dozens of credits were the subject of a 2014 documentary, "That Guy Dick Miller."
