Netflix will always love Dolly Parton -- so much so that the streaming service is building an entire series around the music superstar, inspired by her iconic songbook.

Details are scant right now, but Netflix announced on Monday that it was set to launch a new anthology series, "with each episode based on a song by Dolly Parton." The show, which is untitled for now, will run for eight episodes, and will also include appearances from Parton herself. The singer-songwriter will serve in that capacity for the series, in addition to executive producing.

"As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music," Parton said in a statement. "I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix. We hope our show will inspire and entertain families and folks of all generations, and I want to thank the good folks at Netflix and Warner Bros. TV for their incredible support."

Just what songs are set to be featured is currently unclear, though this concept isn't entirely new: NBC previously made a TV movie, 2015's "Coat of Many Colors," inspired by the titular Parton tune, which told a tale from the singer's childhood. A sequel, "Christmas of Many Colors," aired on NBC in 2016; an additional NBC film based on Parton's song "Jolene" was planned, but never materialized.

With Parton's move to streaming, we have to wonder: Will her new home on Netflix -- which also houses "Grace and Frankie," starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin -- mean that there's going to be some sort of onscreen "9 to 5" reunion? We're going to keep our fingers crossed.

No word yet on when this new, Dolly-centric series is set to debut. Stay tuned.
