Drew Barrymore, what a gal. She's had big chunks of our heart since we saw her in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" back in 1982. As she's grown up, she's given us gifts in the forms of romantic comedies and we are truly thankful for it. These are her best, ranked from eh to we can't stop watching.
10. 'He's Just Not That Into You'
We're just not that into this movie. Everyone is garbage. No one deserves love. None of this actually happens in real life. Barrymore would never be a girl who got rejected by seven different technologies. Come on.
9. 'Blended'
Tracy and Hepburn. Abbot and Costello. Sandler and Barrymore? The movie-making duo of our time completed their trilogy o' laughs with a crude travel comedy filled with rhino sex and camel toe jokes. We would have preferred "Jack and Jill 2: Jill Strikes Back."
8. 'Going the Distance'
Long distance relationships are hard, you guys. They can also be funny, though! That's basically the gist of this cute little romance between former real-life loves Barrymore and Justin Long. Fun and sexy, but sort of forgettable.
7. '50 First Dates'
We totally think the Adam Sandler character's heart is in the right place, but is nobody else disturbed by the fact that this poor woman will have to endure the shock of waking up to a surprise life with him every single day for the rest of their lives? These two clearly have something going on, but how will he explain things like the pregnancy or new environments to her without subsequent psychological freak outs? Selfish or hopelessly romantic? You be the judge.
6. 'Music & Lyrics'
We still don't buy the fact that teaming up with an '80s has-been would help a early 2000s Britney Spears-level pop star in any way, but whatever. That "Way Back Into Love" song is pretty sweet. And so is the chemistry between Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore (and her many scarves.)
5. 'Fever Pitch'
A guy with all sports team everything could be a serious deal breaker, but not when it's an adorable math teacher in the form of Jimmy Fallon. Just look at him making lobster fingers. This one knocks it outta the rom-com park!
4. 'Everyone Says I Love You'
This Woody Allen star-studded musical comedy is a throwback delight. Barrymore nails the Upper East Side preppy princess-turned-rebel schtick, so we forgive the fact that she didn't do her own singing.
3. 'Ever After'
A little more romantic comedy-drama, but it still counts. The updated adaption of the classic story of Cinderella was a fairytale come to life. It's really easy to mess up these movies, but this one nailed it and Barrymore made you root for her the whole time.
2. 'Never Been Kissed'
She's not Josie Grossie anymore y'all! If you can look past the problematic plotline where a high school teacher falls for someone who he thinks is a student, this movie is an instant classic. After watching it, you'll wish you could do over high school without any legal consequences too!
1. 'The Wedding Singer'
Not only is it her best romcom, it's one of the best one's of our time on this earth. Sandler was the nice guy who didn't think he deserved the girl just because he was nice, Barrymore was the girl who truly deserved love, and the soundtrack was a masterpiece.
