Dwayne Johnson's 'Fighting With My Family' Adds 'Game of Thrones' Star Lena Headey
The cast of "Fighting With My Family" has just added another tough lady to the mix.
"Game of Thrones" star Lena Headey will join him in the upcoming wrestling comedy-drama. He welcomed the "brilliant/bad ass" actress to the cast via Twitter on Wednesday. She'll star alongside Johnson, Florence Pugh, Jack Lowden, and Nick Frost.
The film is based on an actual family -- that of WWE star Paige, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis. The story follows her and her brother Zak as they try to make it in the WWE after previously performing in small European venues with their wrestler parents, Ricky and Julia. The project was inspired by the British TV documentary "The Wrestlers: Fighting With My Family."
After years of ruthlessness on "Game of Thrones," Headey should be well-prepared to take on the world of professional wrestling. Although Johnson's announcement didn't specify which part she'd play, our guess is that she'll play Julia while the also recently-cast Frost will play Ricky. Pugh and Lowden are portraying Saraya and Zak, respectively.
