Elizabeth Banks May Direct New 'Charlie's Angels'
Hot off the success of "Pitch Perfect 2," Elizabeth Banks is in talks to direct and produce a new "Charlie's Angels" film, according to The Wrap.
The hit 1970s TV series that made stars of Farrah Fawcett, Cheryl Ladd and Kate Jackson reached the big screen in 2000 in a movie starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. It was followed by a less-successful sequel "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and a short-lived TV series with Minka Kelly.
There's no word on what direction the reboot movie would take or who might play the crime-fighting lovelies who report to an unseen Charlie. Banks, one of the most sought-after directors in Hollywood, also has reportedly been in talks to direct an adaptation of the YA novel "Red Queen."
