Emma Stone to Host 'Saturday Night Live' in December
The month of December is already shaping up to be a great one for "Saturday Night Live," with Emma Stone set to host the show.
Stone will return to Studio 8H on December 3, marking her third time as emcee on the late night sketch series. The last time she hosted was in 2011, though she's popped up on "SNL" several times in recent years, including appearing on an episode hosted by her then-boyfriend and "Amazing Spider-Man" costar Andrew Garfield in 2014, cameoing in a brilliant sketch lampooning celebs auditioning for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and doing her best Gilda Radner impression during the "SNL" 40th anniversary celebration in 2015.

The musical guest for Stone's episode will be Shawn Mendes. This will be the singer-songwriter's first time appearing on "SNL."
Stone's hosting stint comes at the same time she'll be deep in the throes of promoting her new movie, the musical "La La Land," considered by many awards pundits to be a lock for some Oscar nominations come January. Stone is currently jockeying for position in a very tough Best Actress race (her main competition will be "Jackie" star Natalie Portman), so expect her to pull out the big guns -- a.k.a. do plenty of singing and dancing -- when she returns to 30 Rock.
