You take the good, you take the bad, you take ’em both, and there you have ... a reboot of "The Facts of Life."

The beloved sitcom, a spinoff of "Diff'rent Strokes," aired on NBC from 1979 to 1988 and focused on the students at an all-girls boarding school. Edna Garrett (Charlotte Rae), the housekeeper from "Diff'rent Strokes, became the housemother at Eastland School.

The show made stars of its young stars, including Lisa Welchel as Blair, Kim Fields as Tootie, Mindy Cohn as Natalie, and Nancy McKeon as Jo. It tackled serious issues like sex, drug use, and eating disorders.

The reboot is in development at Sony Pictures TV, with Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way and and Jessica Biel's Iron Ocean Films in talks to produce.

This is the second '80s sitcom being eyed for a return this week; a reboot on "ALF" is in the works at Warner Bros. TV. These projects come on the heels of the successful revival of ABC's "Roseanne" (which was a major hit before getting canceled due to star Roseanne Barr's unacceptable tweets and then reformatted into a spinoff with the rest of the cast) and the upcoming revival of "Murphy Brown on CBS.
