'Fantastic Beasts' Sequel Cast Photo Shows Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore
Get ready for some magic, because Warner Bros. is celebrating the fact that the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel is exactly a year away.
The studio has unveiled the official title to the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel, along with a new cast photo. That image shows Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, a role Harry Potter fans know and love. As a younger version of the wizard, Law will make his debut in the upcoming film, which is officially called "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald."
Both the title and the photo were revealed Thursday on social media with a reminder of the film's release date. The cast photo isn't an ordinary one, of course; since this is the wizarding world we're reentering here, it moves.

Law is the bearded man on the left, while the titular Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) is on the far-right. As Harry Potter readers will remember, the two were childhood friends but become later adversaries. We'll see their conflict in "The Crimes of Grindelwald" as Dumbledore, with help from Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), tries to stop the Dark wizard.
"Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" is set to open on Nov. 16, 2018.
