'The Kitchen' First Look Is a Staredown From Tiffany Haddish, Melissa McCarthy, and Elisabeth Moss
These ladies are not about to stay in "The Kitchen."
The first image is here from "The Kitchen," a mobster drama starring Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss. And whoever is receiving this icy staredown from the three women ... well, we wouldn't want to be them.
The three actresses play Hell's Kitchen housewives in 1978. After an FBI raid sweeps up the mafia's top leaders, their wives take over and prove unexpectedly adept at everything from running the rackets to taking out the competition.
Yes, that sounds very similar to the plot of this year's "Widows" (also featuring a star-studded cast playing wives forced to take up their dead husbands' criminal activities). And if "The Kitchen" is anywhere near as good as "Widows," moviegoers should be in for a treat.
The movie also stars Domhnall Gleeson, James Badge Dale, Brian d’Arcy James, Margo Martindale, Common, and Bill Camp. It opens in theaters September 20, 2019.
