Celebrities are just like us: Geeking out over "Game of Thrones" and deep-diving into all of the fan theories. (Except that merman one.)

We just had Ed Sheeran and Mets pitcher Thor as celeb cameos, with Leslie Jones analyzing the show with Seth Meyers. Now -- out of nowhere, it seems -- NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers went Full Nerd to The Ringer, talking about the most recent Season 7, Episode 4, and sharing his agreement with the "dragon has three heads" theory that suggests Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, *and* Tyrion Lannister are all Targaryens.

Here's Aaron Rodgers's repetition and agreement with that theory, to The Ringer:

"I think that Jon Snow, Daenerys, and the Hand of the Queen [Tyrion Lannister] — I think they are all related. Three dragons, three riders, three siblings. We know from Bran, the Three-Eyed Raven, that Ned Stark was not Jon Snow's father. The Mad King might have been his father, might have been him — and that would make Daenerys and Jon brother and sister. And then Tyrion, we don't know who his mother is, who Tywin slept with. I think there's some sort of relationship. At least Jon Snow and Daenerys are going to be working together, and they are mining the dragonglass."

He's wrong about some of the details there -- we know Jon's father was Rhaegar Targaryen, Dany's older brother, not the Mad King. Jon and Dany are not brother and sister, they're nephew and aunt, with the Mad King being Dany's father and Jon's grandfather.

But the theory in question never mentioned all three Targs needing to be siblings. The theory is based on intel in George R.R. Martin's books, which have taken a very different path from the TV show.

Here are the basics:

When Dany enters the House of the Undying in the second book, "A Clash of Kings," she has a vision of what seems to be her older brother Rhaegar speaking to a woman nursing a newborn baby. Rhaegar says the baby is "the prince that was promised," the guy/gal Melisandre has been droning on about on TV. Rhaegar then seemed to tell Dany directly, "there must be one more... the dragon has three heads."

In the books, there is another Targaryen that never showed up on TV. It's possible the TV show won't go down this "dragon has three heads" path, but fans have long wondered if Tyrion might be a secret Targaryen. Not only does he have a love and understanding of dragons, there's thought that he might be the Mad King's son via Joanna Lannister. Joanna died giving birth to Tyrion, and Tywin has said "you're no son of mine." Sure, Tywin told Tyrion "you're my son," when he felt Jaime Lannister was in danger and he needed someone to carry on his name, but that came off as manipulation

Anyway, Rodgers continued to fanboy to The Ringer:

"There are just so many storylines and you have to really pay attention to keep up. With these shows, I'm dialed in and I really want to tie everything together. I love the ['previously on' recaps] to start the episodes. It's very interesting stuff."

He said he's a "huge Jon Snow fan" but Dany is his favorite character, and he loved watching her burn the Lannister army in Episode 4, "The Spoils of War." "I hope more stuff happens like what happened Sunday."

We'll see the fallout of Dany's dragon battle in Episode 5, "Eastwatch," airing Sunday, Aug. 13 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
