'Game of Thrones' Showing What 'A Day in the Life' on Set Is Like
With its rich characters, detailed production design, and stunning sets, it's easy to feel like you're living in the world of "Game of Thrones." But now, HBO is taking viewers even deeper into that world with a half-hour, behind-the-scenes special.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the special, which airs February 8, is titled "A Day in the Life." The documentary covers one day of production from season 5 in three different countries - Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Sevilla and Osuna, Spain.
HBO promises to showcase "the epic sets, renowned cast and global scale of 'Thrones,' as well as the more intimate and individual challenges of our subjects, giving the audience a new perspective on one of the most elaborate productions in television history."
It should provide at least a small glimpse into what to expect in the upcoming fifth season, which premieres April 12. Spain stands in for the previously unseen country of Dorne, home to the Martells (RIP Prince Oberyn). And from what we already know, it seems like we'll be seeing a lot of Spain this season.
