'Gilmore Girls' Festival Is Creating a Real-Life Stars Hollow and We Want to Go
"Gilmore Girls" fans who dream of strolling through Stars Hollow, encountering delightfully quirky neighbors, and sipping on coffee from the hardware store — that dream is now reality.
A group of fans is throwing a "Gilmore Girls" Festival, which will transform Washington Depot, Connecticut into a real-life Stars Hollow in October. The town served as inspiration for "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who stayed in Washington Depot's Mayflower Inn while writing the pilot.
The festival will be attended by cast members including Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Jackson Douglas (Jackson Belleville), Yanic Truesdale (Michel Gerard), Vanessa Marano (April Nardini), Rini Bell (Lulu), Aris Alvarado (Caesar), Biff Yeager (Tom), and Ted Rooney (Morey).
There will be Stars Hollow-esque activities, like a knit-a-thon, coffee at the hardware store, a Friday night dinner, and screenings of the pilot, finale, and 10 fan-voted episodes.
The "Gilmore Girls" Fan Fest will take place October 21-23, about a month before "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" begins streaming on Netflix. Tickets are limited, so get yours right now!
