Glenne Headly of 'Dick Tracy' and 'The Night Of" Passes Away at 63
We're sorry to share the news that actress Glenne Headly, whose films include "Dick Tracy" and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," has passed away at the age of 63.
Deadline reports the actress died last night, although no cause of death has been announced. Her reps released the following statement: "It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Glenne Headly. We ask that her family's privacy be respected in this difficult time."
Headley was in production on the comedy sci-fi Hulu series "Future Man" with and Josh Hutcherson and Ed Begley Jr.
She was recently seen as a high-powered attorney in HBO's "The NIght Of" and in the films "The Circle," "Don Jon" and "Strange Weather" with Holly Hunter. Her other films include "Mr. Holland's Opus" as Richard Dreyfus's wife, "Mortal Thoughts" with Demi Moore, and as Tess Trueheart in "Dick Tracy." Last year, she re-united with the cast of "2 Days in the Valley."
She was nominated for an Emmy for the 1989 TV miniseries "Lonesome Dove" and 1996's "Bastard out of Carolina."
Her stage work includes "Extremities" with Susan Sarandon and "Arms & The Man," which was directed by her ex-husband John Malkovich.
Per Deadline, she is survived by her husband Byron McCulloch and son Stirling.
