Glorious New 'Fantastic Beasts' Trailer Teases Magical War
For Potter's sake, how is it not November 18 already?! It feels like we've been waiting for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" for ages, and the latest trailer -- the best yet -- has us even more excited to find these beasts already.
Eddie Redmayne stars as British wizard Newt Scamander, who makes a muck of things on a trip to New York City in the 1920s by accidentally letting magical creatures loose in the city, and revealing the magical world to a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob (Dan Fogler). But there's more -- an "us vs them" war between magical and non-magical people, including Samantha Morton's Mary Lou of the extremist New Salem Philanthropic Society, and Colin Farrell's shadowy auror Percival Graves.
But the real stars of this trailer, first released Wednesday by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," are the fantastic beasts themselves. They certainly live up to their top billing.
"Fantastic Beasts" hits theaters November 18th, 2016. J.K. Rowling revealed she has already written the script for the second film in this planned trilogy, which that film scheduled for November 2018.
