Golden Globes Viewers Call Sofia Vergara's 'Anus' Joke 'Inappropriate'
At first, some Golden Globe Awards 2017 viewers couldn't tell if Sofia Vergara was kidding or really couldn't pronounce "annual." She introduced Sylvester Stallone's daughters as co-Miss Golden Globes and made a joke about it being an "anal" -- er "anus" -- tradition. She winked to the camera, since it was just a second-language joke in line with her famous "Modern Family" character, Gloria.
Some viewers laughed at the joke, but others found it in poor taste, especially since the girls she was introducing -- Sophia, 19, Sistine, 17, and Scarlet, 14 -- are only teens:
