'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 Had 'One of the Most Craziest Finales Ever'
This is it. The wild roller coaster of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 ends tonight (May 18), and we are prepared to feel shocked, thrilled, and desperate for the Season 14 premiere.
UPDATE: Yep, it was a crazy finale -- but at least Dr. Stephanie Edwards didn't die. For once, Shonda was content to let a character just quit Grey Sloan, after being a completely badass hero. After saving little Erin (who needs to stop wandering off), Edwards decided she was done with hospitals.
In other news, Eliza Minnick was fired for following protocol and forgetting to tell the police about Edwards.
Meredith told Riggs about Megan being alive, potentially ending her own relationship.
April realized that Maggie has feelings for Jackson (very quick turnaround from her crush on Riggs) and actually seemed OK with it. She told Maggie she could tell that Jackson liked her too, and suggested Maggie tell him how she felt. Weird. Not into that pairing at all.
Also, despite the press release saying Alex would make a decision about his relationship with Jo, we didn't see any Jolex scenes. No idea what why not, but guess they didn't have enough time so that whole triangle -- Alex/Jo/Dr. Stadler -- will have to wait for Season 14. Unless Matthew Morrison doesn't even return?
Back to the original post:
You probably saw the sneak peek scene picking up from last week's insane "True Colors" episode, and it'll only get more intense from there.
The "Grey's" stars have been promoting the finale on social media, including Giacomo Gianniotti (DeLuca) hyping the episode on Instagram, and adding that he'll be live tweeting with fans tonight:
"Hey, guys, happy Grey's day. Tonight is the Season 13 finale of 'Grey's Anatomy.' You guys do not want to miss this. Our writers, our producers, our actors, our director Debbie Allen pulled [out] all the stops. We are going to entertain you guys, we're going to thrill you guys, we're going to shock you guys. This is going to be one of the most craziest finales ever..."
Tonight at 8, he added, he's going to be live tweeting with fans on both the East and West coasts, to answer questions and tell fans how the episode was made. "This was such a fun episode to make, everybody worked really hard on it, so we all want you to watch it."
He's not the only star who'll be watching the show live tonight. Here are more teases from the cast, with apologizes from Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), who won't be around to join the party:
