There were no treats for films opening over Halloween weekend as movies starring Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper bombed.

Just like last week, returnees "The Martian" and "Goosebumps" swooped in to fill the box office void, with "The Martian" this time taking the top spot with $11.4 million in its fifth week, according to estimates.

"Goosebumps" finished second with $10.2 million in its third week, "Bridge of Spies" remained solid in third with $8 million in three weeks and "Hotel Transylvania 2" showed staying power in fourth with $5.8 million in six weeks.

The only new film to crack the top five was Cooper's rockstar chef film "Burnt," which got singed with only $5 million. At least that beat Bullock's political-themed, George Clooney-coproduced "Our Brand Is Crisis," which flopped with $3.4 million in eighth.
