'Night Court' Star Harry Anderson Dies at 65
Hollywood has lost some magic.
Actor and magician Harry Anderson died Monday at age 65, Deadline reports. He was found dead at his Asheville, North Carolina, home, according to Christina Hallingse, the local police department's public information officer. Hallingse did not reveal a cause of death but did state that they do not suspect foul play.
Anderson is perhaps best-known for his role on the sitcom "Night Court." For nearly eight years, he played Judge Harold "Harry" T. Stone, and along the way, he earned three Emmy nominations. His character was a young judge with a talent for magic tricks -- one that was shared by Anderson himself. The actor toured as a magician and also did televised comedy-slash-magic shows.
In addition to "Night Court," Anderson's resume includes a starring role on the CBS sitcom "Dave's World." He also brought his talent to multiple episodes of "Cheers," several of "Saturday Night Life," and guest starred on numerous comedy series. The actor inspired a multitude of laughs over the years, and through his work, he'll continue to be able to do so.
