11 Important Harry Potter Movie Couples, Ranked From Worst to Best
Even though Voldemort is slowly torturing the entire wizarding world over eight movies, that doesn't mean there isn't time for love! These are the 11 most important relationships from the Harry Potter film franchise (not the books!!), ranked.
11. Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy
We're sure they loved each other a lot, but they were fighting for Voldemort. That automatically makes you a trash couple. ????????♀️
10. Petunia and Vernon Dursley
These two deserved each other. Even if you took out how they treated Harry, they were not good people.
9. Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown
This relationship was the worst. Not because Lavender was very squealy and called Ron "Won-Won," but because Ron didn't like her and was leading her on. He wanted a girlfriend, he didn't really care who it was. Yes, Lavender was an annoying teenager, but that doesn't mean she deserved a garbage boyfriend and dying in the Battle of Hogwarts.
8. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley
Here's the thing: Ginny in the books is AMAZING. She's so feisty and has personality for days. Movie Ginny is about as interesting as a wet paper towel somebody left on the floor and forgot to pick up because they didn't even realize it was there. Therefore, movie couple Ginny and Harry are a bore. They have zero chemistry and if you didn't read the books, you probably wondered how they even ended up together. If this were ranking of the book couples, these two would definitely be in the top three.
7. Harry Potter and Cho Chang
Cho was Harry's first real relationship. Which meant it was awkward and confusing, but also sweet. Unfortunately, Harry had a lot going on, with being hunted down every school year, and it just didn't work out.
6. Lily and James Potter
They were taken from the world too soon and we didn't get to spend a lot of time with them, but just from the way people talked about them, you could tell they were so in love.
5. Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley
We didn't see a lot of Bill, but his wedding with Fleur just proved how they felt about each other. Their first dance was beautiful... until it was very rudely interrupted.
4. Hermione Granger and Viktor Krum
Listen, these two were adorable. Viktor didn't say a lot, but what he said was always exactly what Hermione needed to hear. He was upfront with his emotions when Ron couldn't be.
3. Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks
Ouch. These two barely got to be the awesome couple they should've been before meeting their untimely death at the Battle of Hogwarts.
2. Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley
Another couple that's better in the books (mostly because Ron is better in the books). But even in the movie, you just can't wait for them to finally get together. You can see it coming from a mile away, and there's something about being best friends before getting into a relationship that just makes your heart go all aflutter. Ten points for Gryffindor for these two ending up together.
1. Arthur and Molly Weasley
#RelationshipGoals! These two still find the time for love and romance while raising six children and being in the middle of a war. Just great role models all around.
