'Hawaii Five-0' Adds Three Series Regulars to Replace Grace Park, Daniel Dae Kim
"Hawaii Five-0" is saying aloha to three new series regulars following the departure of stars Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park.
The two actors exited the CBS procedural several weeks ago, reportedly over a salary dispute. The network countered that Park and Kim had been offered significant raises, but in the end, the parties couldn't make a deal.
Now, the show is filling their shoes for Season 8 with Meaghan Rath (pictured above), Beulah Koale and Ian Anthony Dale.
Dale has been with the show for years, in a recurring capacity, as Adam Noshimuri, a trusted confidant and husband to Park's character Kono. McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) will recruit him to join the Five-0 team.
Rath, who most recently appeared on "Being Human," will play Tani Rey, a once-promising Police Academy candidate whom McGarrett finds working as a lifeguard.
And Koale ("Thank You For Your Service") will play Junior Reigns, a former Navy SEAL who asks McGarrett for a job after returning from serving his country.
"Hawaii Five-0" Season 8 premieres Friday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m.
