Jennifer Lawrence is joining the chorus of female actors criticizing the salary gap in Hollywood.

In an essay for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter, the Oscar winner asks the question, "Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co-Stars?" She brings up the report that she received a lower salary than Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, and Jeremy Renner on the movie "American Hustle," which was leaked during the Sony email hack.

Lawrence didn't blame Sony or the movie's producers, but pointed the finger at herself for not negotiating harder.

"I would be lying if I didn't say there was an element of wanting to be liked that influenced my decision to close the deal without a real fight," she writes. "I didn't want to seem 'difficult' or 'spoiled.'"

Lawrence joins actresses including Meryl Streep, Patricia Arquette, Geena Davis, Emma Watson, and Dunham in addressing sexism in Hollywood.

"I'm over trying to find the 'adorable' way to state my opinion and still be likable! Fuck that," she says. "I don't think I've ever worked for a man in charge who spent time contemplating what angle he should use to have his voice heard. It's just heard."
