Jeremy Renner: 'Avengers: Infinity War' Does 'Really Wondrous Things' With Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner didn't mind Hawkeye's absence from the "Avengers: Infinity War" trailer because he knows what's in the actual movie.
Renner talked to the South China Morning Post about Hawkeye's new look in "Infinity War" -- "A haircut is a haircut" -- that "pretty killer trailer," and the rumor/hope that Clint Barton may adopt the Ronin guise in this movie.
"I can't get into the theories ... I know [Ronin] is in the comics, but otherwise I don't really know anything about that stuff."
Right On Target
Hawkeye might be missing from the Infinity War trailer, but I think his new look hits the mark dead center.#Hawkeye#JeremyRenner#InfinityWarTrailer#AvengersInfinityWar#AvengersInfinityWarTrailer#MarvelCinematicUniversepic.twitter.com/AZhZDrDAx5— Revelbots (@revelbots) November 30, 2017
Renner said he wants to speak about "Infinity War," but there's so much he can't say.
"There's a lot of superheroes in it," he told SCMP with a laugh. "And it's gonna be big and it's gonna be awesome. But I can't really talk about the movie."
That said, he did offer this reassuring little Hawkeye tease:
"We're doing a lot of really wondrous things that I've always wanted to do with this character ... I think everyone will be very pleased when they find out what happens."
Renner has not always been so happy with the direction of Hawkeye, so it's good to hear he sounds "very pleased" about what's ahead.
"Avengers: Infinity War" opens May 4th, 2018.
