Joel McHale to Host Weekly 'The Soup'-Like Show on Netflix
Yes, more "Soup" for you.
Joel McHale will once again snark about all things pop culture in a self-titled weekly talk show for Netflix (yes, weekly). The streaming service describes it as "a sharp, absurdist look at pop culture and news from across the globe. It's a fast and funny distillation of everything people are talking about that week."
It sounds a lot like his former show, "The Soup," which aired from 2004 to 2015 on E!
Season 1 will consist of 13 half-hour episodes and feature a mix of video clips, celebrity guests, and sketches. One of the executive producers is "Freaks and Geeks" creator Paul Feig.
McHale poked fun at his old and new shows' use of green screens in this little promo:
Hey @Netflix: I think you misunderstood when I demanded "a lot of green" for my new show. #JoelMcHaleShowpic.twitter.com/SICdubeL1m
