Kevin Smith had a heart attack after his first stand-up show on Sunday. He knew something was wrong and canceled his second show. And it's a good thing he did.

The 47-year-old "Comic Book Men" star was meant to tape two stand-up shows at the Alex Theater in Glendale, CA He managed to tape the 6 p.m. but canceled the 9 p.m. show.

Smith tweeted a selfie from his hospital bed and updated fans on the situation:

Fans are now sending him well wishes for a swift recovery.

(If want to go down a random sidenote rabbit hole: "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn defended Chris Pratt after backlash to Pratt's suggestion of prayers for Kevin Smith.)

Anything called a "Widow-Maker" is no joke (especially, you have to assume, to his wife).

Smith's "Comic Book Men" just aired an episode last night and continues late night Sundays on AMC.
