ABC is reviving "Kids Say the Darndest Things," and it has secured a dream comedian to host.

Tiffany Haddish officially has the gig, Variety reports. She takes over a role that now-disgraced comic Bill Cosby filled in the '90s. The show was a 1995 special and then became a full series that ran from 1998 to 2000.

Like its predecessor, the revival will feature kids who talk to and interact with the host during live tapings. This means Haddish will do things like ask them for dating and technology advice and even drive a carpool. She said in a statement that she's "excited to hear what kids have to say these days" because their abbreviations on social media don't make sense to her. Given that she's been known to say some of the "darndest things" herself, we look forward to seeing these conversations.

Haddish has starred in a number of comedies, including "Nobody's Fool," "Night School," and "Girls Trip." Additionally, she has lent her voice to the family-friendly films "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part" and the upcoming "The Secret Life of Pets 2." The comedian also voices a lead character in Netflix's "Tuca & Bertie."

Not only will Haddish star in the series, she'll also executive produce it. She'll work with original "Kids Say the Darndest Things" executive producer Eric Schotz.

"When I was dreaming of stars I wanted to bring to ABC, Tiffany Haddish was top of my list," said ABC's entertainment president, Karey Burke (via Variety). "Tiffany starring in and producing this iconic series is everything I hoped for."

"Kids Say the Darndest Things" is planned to debut this fall on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
