Meet Lucy Liu's New Baby Boy, Rockwell, Welcomed Via Surrogate
Lucy Liu had a surprising announcement to share with fans this week: she's a new mom!
The 46-year-old actress revealed her little bundle of joy in an Instagram post on Thursday, sharing a snap of her with her new baby boy, named Rockwell Lloyd Liu. Liu said that she's "in love" with "the new little man in my life," who was born via surrogate.
"I can confirm that Lucy Liu is the proud mother of Rockwell Lloyd Liu, brought into the world via gestational carrier," a representative for Liu said in a statement. "Mom and baby are healthy and happy."
Rockwell is the first child for Liu, who's been busy with her CBS procedural "Elementary" for the past few years. She'll have plenty of time to bond with her son over the next couple of months, since the show doesn't return for season four until November 5.
