Not only is the cast of "Avengers: Infinity War" still doing reshoots for "Avengers 4," (much of which was filmed back-to-back with Part 1) they seem to have no idea how the final film will play out.

That's according to Mark Ruffalo, who talked about the reshoots with The Marvelists Podcast:

"Well we’re doing reshoots starting in September. And then we’ll go back into the international tour, we’ll go on tour… Then you guys will get ['Avengers 4']. Which we don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing reshoots, we’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year."

Dave Bautista, who's threatened to quit the MCU over the firing of James Gunn, told Digital Spy last month that Gunn's exit "may make a difference in what they do with our characters in 'Avengers 4.'"

Bautista said he'd shot "most of ["Avengers 4"] already" and that he had two days of reshoots. He added, "I have some really great scenes that I hope they use."

Here's what co-director Anthony Russo said to Deadline about the reshoots:

"We’ve worked on the edit all summer and we’re excited to finally get these missing pieces in the film and then we expect to be in post through the fall and winter. We hope to be done by March. It was so gratifying that in a movie with this scope and scale and that wide of an audience, that we were able to end with a gut punch and yet the audience stayed with us and found value and kept coming back..."

"Avengers 4" is currently set for a May 3, 2019 release.
