You Won't Believe Who Marvel Asked to Direct 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'
Our favorite bunch of a-holes from Marvel almost had an Oscar-winner as their new director.
"Vice" writer-director Adam McKay recently revealed on the "Happy, Sad, Confused" Podcast that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige approached him about directing "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3."
McKay, who won the adapted screenplay Oscar for "The Big Short" and famously came in to help rewrite and save the script for the MCU's first "Ant-Man" movie, said: “We’ve talked a little bit. Yeah. We were kicking around the idea of the "Inhumans" [movie] at one point. We’re always kind of talking."
"Inhumans" (sadly) was turned into a failed TV series for ABC in 2017.
As of now, "Guardians Vol. 3" is still without a director following James Gunn's dismissal from the project earlier this year.
